Crimson Online (2016-2018)

I was a software engineer working on both frontend and backend projects for the Django-based website of our student newspaper. Some major projects included implementing and bug fixing a responsive redesign of the front page from a wireframe mockup and repairing the online advertising system that had cost us thousands in revenue, as well as developing and modifying a subdomain for our recruitment process.

I also chaired the Design Board, which you can read more about here.

Discord Bots (2019)

As a hobby, I host seasons of Survivor online, which you can read more about here. Hosted on the messaging platform Discord, these games have gotten elaborate over the years, and I began developing bots to improve the experience. Navibot, linked above, is a bot that turns Discord channels into a sort of text-based RPG, allowing players to move between “areas” in a choose-your-own-adventure way.
